ACS Group Culture
ACS Group brands enjoy growth rates considerably higher than the industry in which they operate because ACS Group brands gain market share. Market share gain is a two-pronged approach - internal and external. Internally, we follow a strict discipline that contains four basic objectives:
Externally, our approach to building sales involves complementary acquisitions and strategic partnering with select companies to broaden our product offering. For example, in 1999 we acquired Cumberland Engineering, a leader in granulator design and manufacturing. We then combined our Nelmor and Ball & Jewell granulator operations into the South Attleboro, Massachusetts facility, which had previously only housed the Cumberland brand. We invested several million dollars in the South Attleboro facility, creating a world-class manufacturing facility focused on granulators. When we combine disparate operations into a single world-class manufacturing facility, we increase our design and manufacturing capabilities and dramatically lower unit cost and improve our ability to serve our customers. The ACS Group has established itself as the market share leader in granulation in North America. Our new product development is not just in the granulation area. During 2005, we introduced over 40 exciting new products across all of our product lines. The ACS Group is committed to providing the latest technology to exceed the needs of the plastics processing industry. |
